At Blue Sky Oregon CBD, we believe in ethical, sustainable CBD production, from our farm to you. All of our hemp is naturally sun-grown on the banks of the Clackamas River in Logan, Oregon, using modern, environmentally responsible farming practices. We enrich our soil with organic nutrients and minerals, avoid synthetic additives, and use natural ground covers to protect and rebuild the land. By growing only during Oregon’s summer season, we dramatically reduce electricity and fossil fuel use while producing cleaner, more natural hemp.
From this hemp, we craft small-batch CBD tinctures, topicals, and professional massage oils. As one of the few Oregon CBD companies that grows, harvests, and formulates everything locally, we’re able to maintain exceptional quality and transparency from start to finish. Every product is made in Oregon and third-party lab tested so you always know exactly what’s in your bottle.

![It has been a while since we last gave an update, so we wanted to take some time to fill you in on what we have been up to on the farm this summer!

After taking last year off for growing, this year we are back at it again! Starting back in early May we purchased our seeds from Oregon CBD down in southern Oregon. We choose to increase our hemp variety from two to four so we could focus on both biomass and flower.

For our flower focused hemp we selected Lifter and Special Sauce. These plants were bred for our PNW climate, potent CBD content, and sturdy bud formation. For more info on these plants visit @oregoncbd

For our biomass we choose Sour Lifter and then brought back an old favorite: Suver Haze. With this lineup, and our tried and true holistic farming practices, we should be well on our way to making one of the highest potency CBD extracts available. Our last biomass extract came in at over 70% CBD (average is 40s-50s), this year we hope to beat even that.

We start all of our hemp plants from seed in our green house, and the magic really begins in the soil. We use only certified organic soil and amendments to provide the best starting home for our plants. We carefully blend potting mix, worm casings, blood meal, and few other goodies before hand planting our seeds into their temporary homes in the green house
